The Layar is a spectacular design-led villa resort in the heart of chic Seminyak, moments from Bali's best restaurants, boutiques and sunset beach bars. Cutting-edge contemporary architecture and ultra-chic interiors characterize the 23 villas, which offer stunning living spaces sculpted by the planes of the architects' signature sloping roofs. Each individual villa is set within a private landscaped garden with large swimming pool, and from one to four spacious bedroom suites oriented for privacy.

At each of The Layar's four one-bedroom villas, steps to the elevated garden follow the curve of the swimming pool to the open living and dining area spread out below the wing of the dramatically sloping ironwood-shingle roof. To one side of the living area lies the triangular galley kitchen, while to the other, angled under the second roof wing, is the spacious bedroom and its ensuite garden bathroom.
Careful thought has been given to the villa's romantic living area, resulting in a wonderful sense of space, openness and flow that couples will appreciate. With such a splendid selection of settings to choose from, relaxation comes easy, day or night. Drift between the custom-designed teakwood sofa facing the entertainment centre, the sun-loungers reclining on the pool deck, the tiered shallow section of the pool just beyond the living area, or even the stone bathtub gracing the courtyard garden.
Honeymooners and couples will love the design of this large, light-filled king-sized bedroom with its stylish seating area, window onto the courtyard and sliding doors to the pool deck. There's no scrimping on space in the garden bathroom either - an elegant expanse of Palimanan stone with foliage-fringed shower, elongated counter with twin basis, and - in the adjacent white-pebbled courtyard - a decadently statuesque stone bathtub.
Guests at The Layar can enjoy delicious food all day long, with a breakfast menu available from 7am to 11am and an extensive room service menu available from 11am to 10pm. Asian favourites like Nasi Goreng, Sate and Beef Rendang sit side by side with grilled tenderloin and salmon. Kids are well looked after too, with their own menu.
Particularly popular are The Layar's private barbecue dinners - prepared, cooked and served at sunset in your villa garden. Guests also have the option of engaging a private chef who will design a special menu for them to enjoy 'at home' in the villa.
Guests preferring to self-cater will appreciate the villas' well-equipped kitchens, and provisions can be found at the gourmet supermarkets only a ten-minute walk away.
The Layar's personalised spa service allow guests to enjoy an extensive menu of pampering treatments and therapies in the privacy of their villa, including remedial massages, and natural scrubs and body wraps using eco-organic products.

When the Guest makes a booking request, the Guest must make the appropriate deposit payment to the manager within 5 working days of availability confirmation. The following deposit payment must be received by the manager.
For rentals beginning more than 60 days after the date of the booking request - a deposit of 50% of the total rental amount is payable.
For rentals beginning 60 days or less after the date of the booking request - the total rental amount is payable as a deposit.
If the required deposit payment is not received within the 5 working day period, the manager reserves the right to void the Guest's booking request.
Where a 50% deposit applies to the booking, the Guest must pay the remaining 50% balance not less than 60 days before the scheduled arrival date.
All payments must be made in US Dollars, unless otherwise agreed with the manager, and must be made in accordance with the manager's payment instructions as set out in the Guest's booking confirmation.
If payments are not made on or before the due dates as required herein, the Owner or the Owner's Representative may cancel the booking, in which case this Rental Contract will be thereby terminated without any further notice required. Cancellation charges may apply as detailed below.
A security deposit may be payable directly to the Owner or Owner's Representative immediately upon arrival at the Property. However the Owner has the right to impose different requirements on a case by case basis. Access to the Property may be refused if security deposit is not paid in full. When the security deposit is required to be paid in cash, or when a non-standard security deposit applies, the manager will inform the Guest in advance of the amount payable and any other conditions.
The security deposit will normally be refunded at the end of the rental period, after deducting: all additional expenses incurred on the Guest's behalf (e.g. additional charges for goods, services and staff which have not been directly paid by the Guest, and telephone and internet charges, if applicable) and the cost of replacement or repair for any loss or damage to the Property or its surrounds or contents caused during the Rental Period. If this cost cannot be reasonably determined prior to the Guest's departure, the Owner or the Owner's Representative is entitled to withhold a reasonable estimate from the Guest's security deposit, and will return any balance to the Guest as soon as possible after the actual cost has been determined.
If the Guest wishes to cancel a confirmed booking, written notice of cancellation must be sent to the manager. All cancellation notices received by the manager will be acknowledged in writing. It is strongly recommended that the Guest and all members of the Guest's party purchase trip cancellation insurance.
Cancellation of a booking includes but is not limited to:
* Cancellation of one or more days of a booking.
* An amendment of a booking so that none of the dates of the booking once amended fall within the same dates that originally constituted the booking.
* Failure of all Guests to provide the required documentation on arrival (eg. Passports or suitable identification).
* Attempt by the Guest, their party or visitors to hold an event at the Property in breach of these Terms and Conditions or breach of any rules applicable to the Guest's chosen Property.
In the event that the Guest cancels a confirmed booking, the following cancellation fees will generally apply:
* 20% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made more than 60 days before the start of the rental period.
* 50% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 30 and 60 days before the start of the rental period.
* 100% of the total rental amount will be forfeited if the cancellation is made between 1 and 29 days before the start of the rental period.
The applicable amount will be deducted from the deposit and moneys paid, and the manager will refund any remaining balance to the Guest.
Please note that these cancellation terms apply for regular booking periods. Special cancellation terms may apply for peak/high seasons and will be stated in the Property description, booking confirmation or reservation voucher. If the information in any of these is inconsistent, the most recently issued terms will prevail.
